Homework:
To prepare for the test I want you to go to http://quiz.u-s-history.com/ and take several quizzes. Make sure to pick your grade level (11) and the Revolutionary America Era.
Project: Revolutionary War

Hello class, here is the project we have been discussing for the past week. We have just finished watching the American Revolution documentary and based off of that film and our discussions in class I want you to make a project showing your understanding of the war itself, but also the factors leading up to it and it's consequences.

This project can be anything you want and you can be as creative as you wish. This can anything from a standard written paper to a art project to a acted skit. * groups may be allowed, but I will grade it a little tougher as there will be multiple of you working on it.

Some Ideas:

-A research paper
-A film either acting out an important point or a documentary style video
-a painting or sculpture (these must have some kind of small paragraph giving a brief explanation)
- a skit to be acted out in class
-A power point presentation
-A speech
- Really anything you can think of, if you have a question of whether your idea will be acceptable then please come see me.

resources:
-You have your notes, text book and the internet.
-Here is the Documentary we watched in class: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zv1QdkMdGrA
-please attach a bibliography with your sources to your project.
-This will be due a week from friday on March 8th 2013

A Good Resource

Revolutionary War Resource

http://www.revolutionarywaranimated.com/index.php/lexington-and-concord This site gives detailed animated descriptions of several battles during the Revolutionary war. It is a good way to review the information. We will use this site later as it has different battles all through U. S. History.

http://www.history.com/topics/american-revolution/videos#jefferson-writes-the-declaration-of-independence Here is another good resource for you. There are multiple videos of the American Revolution and they are all very good quality as they are from the history channel, they should be very entertaining compared to some other documentaries.

Helpful Resources

Helpful Resources

http://www.ushistory.org/ A good website with useful resources and a brief overview of United States History. It contains various documents such as the U. S. Constitution and the Declaration of Independence. It has easy to follow outlines of different historical moments and has relevant pictures and charts.

http://quiz.u-s-history.com/ A pretty cool site, it allows you to enter your grade and time period you wish to be quizzed over and will give you random questions and tell you the correct answer if you missed it. A great way to study for tests.

http://www.havefunwithhistory.com/ A cool site that can be directed at younger students at times but it has different games activities and videos about useful information.
